Football is here!!

I am so excited about the upcoming Saturday!! LSU plays their first game of the season. At first I thought I was gonna miss it cuz by BFF Haley turned 21 yesterday and we're going out for her bday on Saturday. BUT, last night, we all decided not to go eat before we go out, we'll just eat at home, and go out about 9-9:30! Yes! I won't get to see all the game, but at least I'll get to watch some. I really wanna go find a cute purple top to wear out that night so I can still show some Tiger support!



Last night, me, Dusty, and River went to eat at Olive Garden for Haley's bday with her family, Corey, and his family. We had a good time. After that, Haley and the families went to the boats. We didn't go because of the little one ;) We went to Academy so Dusty could get some bullets because...Du du dum...he's going goose hunting tomorrow morning! He is like a kid at Christmas time, he's so excited. He drives me crazy.

We had a good weekend. Dusty worked Fri and Sun. Me and River went to eat lunch and shop with Wendy Saturday. We got R started on his Fall wardrobe!! Besides all that, not much else going on. Yay football!

Already that time

:( Hunting season is here. I'm happy and I'm sad. Yesterday Dusty got up at 4:00 a.m. to go to Arkansas to make sure the ducks were in the same spot they saw them in a few weeks ago...uh, really?!?! Then, he went BACK to Arkansas that evening to go hog hunting and didn't get home till 9:15 or so. I think duck season opens up at the beginning of September in Arkasas, so I'm sure I'll be hearing that charming, lovely alarm go off every.single.morning he is off work at 4:00 a.m....errr! I might just let him sleep on the couch for the next few months!!

Rhonda picked up River from daycare again yesterday and I went to Zumba. I'm starting re-learn the dances again and am getting better!!

It was finally a nice afternoon to play outside when we got home from work/daycare. It has been wayyy to hot here and today it was in the low 90s this evening I guess...maybe...I don't really know, but it sure bearable! Me and River played outside for about an hour after we got home. He had a ball riding his 4-wheeler. He can't steer it, so when I have to turn the wheel to go the right way he gets mad at me and whines, lil stinker!

Catching up...

I have a feeling this is going to be a long post! I'll start with Wednesday afternoon....I picked River up from daycare and we came home. I let him play outside on his 4-wheeler for a little while because I had some plants to pot. He was perfect outside, he loves being outside. Well we came in and he started screaming and crying and would not stop. It was one of those "I don't feel good" kinda cries. I let him take a little nap and when he woke up he ate and was still a little fussy, but he got over it. Thursday, I dropped him off at daycare and his teacher tole me that Wednesday he was pulling at his ears and whiney and he kept laying his head on the floor. Long story short, I ended up taking him to dr Thursday morning and he had the beginning of a double ear infection :( The dr said it wasn't contagious yet and that the drainage was just starting to turn color. She gave me a prescription and said he could go back to daycare. Sooo, Honey picked him up that afternoon and I went to Zumba! I called at 5:00 after I got off just to make sure R was doing okay and Honey said he was perfect ;)

Friday morning, River was perfect again! That night we went to Nonna and Papa Stan's to eat. Wendy made shrimp pasta and some squash and Stan grilled steaks and zuccinni. It was sooooooo good! R loved the squash and zuccinni. After we ate, Papa Stan and River swam in the pool. R is getting to wear he really likes the water...I think, I hope!

Saturday, River is 16 months old!!! My big ol' boy is growing up way to fast. Me and River met Moma and Kasen at the park where they have a water playgound thing and let the boys play.





River didn't really play in the water. He doesn't like getting it in his face.

- You love your 4-wheeler! I am so glad we got you that!!

After the park, me and R met Samantha to do a little shopping. Then we came home, got in the shower, and got ready to go eat with daddy. We went to Chili's. It was actually pretty good. The service still sucks, tho! When we left Chili's we were gonna go to Chuck E. Cheese (Dusty's idea!!!), but it was very packed so we didn't stop. We went to Dusty's grandparents house (Jim and Georgeanne) to let them visit with River. We had a good family night. I love my boys!!

Zumba Zumba

I started Zumba back up yesterday. I went for about two months at the beginning of summer then just kind of got out of it. I could really tell a difference when I was doing it, mostly in my abs, love handles, and arms! And, apparently Dusty could tell in my hips because he noticed the other day that I had stopped going!! Meanie. Anyway, me and Haley went yesterday and my mom and her friend were there. I'm going back tomorrow.





River started his new class Monday. I was sad. I texted Dusty when I left the daycare and told him it was almost like when I brought him to daycare for the very first time. I got teary eyed! My baby is growing up way too fast!! I wish his first two teachers could move with him instead of him moving to new teachers.

Dusty is at work today. This is his last shift then he'll be home with us for 6 days. Woo Hoo! I am so ready for the Fall and football. I cant wait to wear all my LSU stuff every Saturday and put River in his stuff. All he's got right now is a T-shirt and a jersey. Guess I need to be getting him some more stuff! And I gotta teach him to say Geaux Tigers!! And Who Dat ;)

Bunco

Man, Bunco was a blast last nite. We had so much fun and laughed all nite! My father-in-law grilled us hamburgers and hot dogs. We also had potatoe salad, chips/dips, and desserts. So yummy. Rhonda did an awesome job decorating. I loved all the LSU stuff!

It's Saturday...WooHoo!!

I've been waiting for today for a long time! It's Bunco nite!! I love getting together with the Bunco Babes. Tonite it is at my mother-in-law's and the theme is Football Spirit, wear your favorite football team and eat good ol' tailgating food! I can't wait. My daddy is keeping River tonite :/ Hope all goes well. I'm sure it will!! Me, River, and moma just got back from running errands all morning. We had to get our Bunco gifts. I got tiki torches and fluid. We went to Target (my favorite store) and I finally found River a new Blue's Clue video. I haven't been able to find them anywhere and I am so tired of watching the same one over and over : ) He is in there watching it now.

Last nite I took my mom to the movies for her bday. Her bday was last Saturday, but the movie came out yesterday. We saw Eat Pray Love with Julia Roberts. It was cute...I got bored at some parts, but it was good overall.

Hi :o)

Nothing much going on today. Dus is at work so it was just me and River tonight. We watched Big Brother and Rachel is gone. Maybe next week it'll be Brendan! River is in his bed watching Blue...actually he may be asleep already. I don't hear him. Dusty is trying to teach River to blow a duck call. Today he was really getting after it. It was so funny!





I think I'm fixing to go take a long hot bath and go to bed. Goodnite : )

Wednesday

I went back to work today. The A/C was out!! It wasn't unbearable in there, but it was kinda warm. We had like 5 fans going. Ha! I picked River up from daycare and we came home and cooked and hung out with Daddy. I made pasta with chicken and broccoli and we had grapes for dessert. Me and Dusty watched Big Brother. I LOVE that show. Jeff and Jordan from last season were on there. They are too cute, I'm so glad they are still together. And, I don't really care who they vote out tomorrow. Rachel or Brendan. Rachel is so annoying, but I like the way they make fun of her. Brendan seems kinda of...I can't think of the word...maybe slacker?!?!



I love this pic of River. He is so funny! Today him and Dusty were yelling Papaw back and forth to each other. He's starting to say more and more of his grandparents names. He says Nana, Paw, Papaw, Nonna (kinda), and when we say Honey he just stares at us. He can't quit get that one yet!

Oh yeah, Ms. Rhonda (R's afternoon teacher) told me today that River bit her on her leg!!! What! That boy is something else. After he bit her, another little girl Hannah, pointed to Ms. Rhonda's pants and said "wet". Lol. River moves to the Creeper room next Monday, the 16th :( He is getting too big too fast! I love that lil' booger!

Trip to Tyler

Today me, River, my mom, and Colt took my grandma to the Tyler airport. She left today for England!! It was River's first long trip (about 1.5 hours). He did good on the way down there and got a little fussy on the way back, but it wasn't too bad. It was nice not to have to get up early this morning and get ready for work ;). Dusty is working today so it's just me and R at the house. I need to be cleaning something, but I just feel like being lazy. R is in his room right now watching Blue's Clues. He LOVES that show. He watches it pretty much every night before he goes to bed. Silly boy. Mickey Mouse is his favorite to watch in the mornings before we leave for daycare/work. He's so funny watching them. Anyhoo, I guess I'm gonna try to make myself go clean...something!
