Lovin' Life

Not much went on this weekend, finally! Ha.  Me and River drove all the way to the duck pond Saturday and it was PACKED!!  There was not a single parking space.  I was so mad. We ended up going to Target instead.  I was really looking forward to seeing River feeding the ducks : (  Now I'm sure we'll have to wait at least another month before the weather gets nice again.  Ugh!  I made Mexican cornbread for supper and we just hung out at the house.

 Today, we stayed home all day.  It was nice.  I got a little cleaning done and my typing.  River had spaghettio's for supper tonite and this is how it ended...

Weekend recap

Yes, it's Wednesday and I'm just now getting around to talk about our weekend.  Oops ; )  Saturday me and River went to eat at McCalister's with Wendy.  I love soup in the winter.  It seems like I've eaten at McCalister's every weekend for the past two months!  I always get their potato soup, yummy!  After that, we dropped R off at my grandma's and me and Wendy went to Hobby Lobby (Love.that.store!) and a couple of other places.  When me and R got home that afternoon, I cleaned up a little bit and Haley came over.  We had Twilight date nite!  Ha.  We watched New Moon....again!  I just can't get enough.  I started the New Moon book today.  I am soooo ready to be on the third since I know what happens in the 2nd one already. 

Sunday was such a nice day.  The sun was out and it wasn't too terribly cold.  Me and River had lunch at Mickey D's and then went to the park.  The lil dude had a blast!

After the park, Kasen came home with me so mom could go to the store.  The boys played.  Then Dusty came home and we all went outside and the boys rode 4-wheelers.  No pics, tho : (  We went to Dusty's dad's for some fried fish Sunday nite.  It was delish!

I got my 31 Gifts kit in today!  Fun stuff.  I'm ready to start having some parties :o)  I've started a 31 blog (on the right).  I don't have much on it right now, but I will be posting hostess specials and other fun stuff that is going on.  I've also got a 31 website where you can look at the catalog and order that way.  I will keep you posted!

21 months

River turned 21 months on Friday!  Yikes, where has the time gone.  He is getting so big!  Every day he makes me laugh.  Me and Dusty will just sit and watch him all the time and crack up at him. 

You are starting to slim down some, but are getting a little taller.  You now hit your head when you walk under the kitchen table (we have a tall kitchen table).  You jabber and jabber and jabber all the time, just talking to yourself or talking to me or daddy.  I wish I knew what you were saying!  You are loving some "mo-mo" right now.  Nana gave you an Elmo's World movie about babies and dogs and you absolutely love it.  You have to watch every single day.  It is so cute when you sing "la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la".  It's pretty addicting, even I sing it every day!  You still like Blue, too, and every now and then you'll ask to watch it instead of Elmo. 

You love being outside, but unfortunately, it is too dang cold and moma doesn't like the cold so I don't take you out much.  Every  morning when we leave for daycare/work, you walk outside and get on your 4-wheeler and you just sit there pretend driving.  I promise once it warms up to at least 60-65, you can stay outside for as long as you want and just ride ;o) 

I love making you repeat animal sounds.  It is so funny!  You can get pretty darn loud with the horse.  And, of course, the tiger is my all time fav..."touchdown"!!  Hehe, you smart boy!

You are still in size 5 diapers.  You wear size 6 shoes and 24 months-2T clothes, but still 18-24 month pants and maybe 2T pants depending on brand. 

You still love to read books.  When we're done reading, instead of saying The End, you say bye-bye and throw is down real fast.  

I love, love, love when I ask you where something is and you shrug up your shoulders and say "don't know".  It is so cute and funny!

You can count to 10!!  I'll say 1, you'll say 2, and we'll go back and forth till we are at 10.  You smart lil guy ;o)

Mommy and Daddy love you so much River Bug!!!  You are the best thing ever and we are so thankful to have you as our son!!!!  XOXO

Bu-Bye Hunting :o)

Well, I survived another year of hunting season.  Ha!  Yes, it is over...for Dusty anyway, because he has to go back to work.  I will now get my husband back, I don't have to hear that awful alarm he has go off between 3-5:00 a.m. almost every morning and hopefully now he won't be falling asleep on the couch at 7:00!  I'm so happy ;o)

River is 21 months old today, *tear.  I cannot believe my baby is almost 2!!!

Last night we went to my parents and ate pizza.  They were wanting to see River.  He loves his Nana and Paw.  Tonight, me and Dus are going to eat with some friends and Papaw and Honey are gonna keep R for a few hours.  I'm sure he'll have lots of fun reading books with them and playing with Gus, and who knows what else.  He always "talks" to Papaw on his pretend phone, but when Papaw is really on the phone he won't talk...silly boy!

Meet Colt!

He's my younger brother. He is 24 years old from NW LA. He has a big heart and likes spending time with his family and friends. He is a daddy to a 4 year old little boy, Kasen.  Colt is country all the way! 

His hobbies are duck hunting, mud riding, 4-wheeler riding, football (Geaux Saints and he likes LSU, but doesn't like Les Miles : /), NASCAR. 

He is a hard working, Lord loving young man looking for the right girl!

Wednesday...

River Bug is 100% back to his normal self today!  Yay!  He has been jabbering and being silly all night.  When I picked him up from daycare today we came home and Corey (Tumey) was here with daddy.  River finally got to play outside for a little while since the sun was out and it wasn't raining.  It has been so cold, gloomy, wet, and miserable for the past 5 days.  I hate weather like this.  And, it is supposed to start raining again tomorrow : (  Dus grilled some bacon burgers tonite for supper.  They were sooo good!  Tumey ate with us and poor Haley had to work.  Here are a few pics of River from this morning and after we got home this afternoon.

Stinky subject

Dusty went fishing today with a buddy of his and they caught A LOT of white perch!!  I have a feeling there will be a big fish fry in the near future ;o)

River had a rough weekend with dirty diapers!  First thing Saturday morning, I had him in the bathtub while I was straightening my hair.  I turned around and there it was...spreading all over.  I didn't know what to do!  River was crying, but I just kinda of scooted him back and drained the water and cleaned the mess up.  Ugh....so gross!  So, I bathed him and got him dress and we went about our day.  Haley came over and we went to Target and and Hobby Lobby and ate lunch at this really good little place called Biscottis, I believe.  I had a shrimp poboy and it was so delish.  When we got home, I put R down for a nap and when I went to check on him, he popped his little head up and that when I saw (smelt) it!!!  Yes, more poop...everywhere!!!  Saturday night we had Bunco.  It was fun. Jeremy kept River for me, so sweet : )  Sunday morning, first thing when Dus got home from work, he went to check on R and he smelt it, again!  I was sleeping and I woke up to "Shauna, get a towel!!!"  :(  My poor lil buddy.  I called the doc and he said it was rotavirus and told me to get on the internet and look it up.  Well, I don't believe that is what it was.  R ran no fever and never vomited.  And, he acted his usual self.  I really think he is just teething.  He had one more bad diaper last night right before bedtime, but this one different than the first three.  It was still awful, but different.  And, he has had none today!! : )  But, I did get a note from his teacher saying that he didn't eat his lunch, he wasn't acting himself, and he was pulling on his ears.  Ughhhh!  But, he has been fine since we've been home.  I did make him some chicken noodle soup for supper and he ate it up!  The boy loves him some noodles.  So, that is what we have been up to...cleaning up poop.  I have never washed so many blankets and towels and sheets.  Ha!

So, that about sums up our weekend.  We stayed home all day Sunday and just played and watched Elmo. 

P.S.  I keep changing my blog up.  I can't find anything I like.  Maybe I should just go ahead and pay somebody to make me a cute design...we'll see!

New decor, River, and TWILIGHT

Today after work, I had to go get a giftcard for Carter who is turning 3 on Saturday.  I can't believe he is already 3 years old!  I also met Wendy at BB&B to get my new comforter.  That was all I was planning on getting today, but I ended up with two new pillows for my couch, the comforter, a red blanket, and a drink dispenser thing that I've been wanting for a while now.  I spent $116!!!  That's it!  I couldn't believe.  I just new I was going to go over my giftcard limit and have to spend some of my own money.  My comforter set has about 8 pieces that comes with it and it was already on clearance for $107 and when we checked out it was $49.99!!!!!  Wow!  I just hope it looks good once I get it on my bed.

I picked River up from dc and we came straight home.  River has not eaten one bit of supper this whole week.  I don't know what his deal is, he just will not eat.  He eats great at dc though, so that's good!  Anyway, Wendy gave me some leftover crawfish fettuccine and River ate.it.up!  I was so glad :o) 

This boy is Obsessed with Elmo!  As soon as we walked in the door he kept saying mo-mo, mo-mo.  Well I thought he was saying moma over and over and I was like 'what is it baby'!!!!  Finally, I caught on and realized it was Elmo (mo-mo).  So, I turned Elmo on in his room and he sat in there and watched it over and over and over....lordy! 

Ok, so I have always thought the Twilight series was a little out there and I have always said I would NEVER watch it or get into it.  Well....I am now hooked thanks to Haley and Sam!  Ugh!  I wouldn't call myself a Twihard or whatever they call themselves, but I am interested.  I watched movies 1 and 2 over the weekend and when Dusty is gone to work and Haley can come over we're going to watch the third one.  And, we've already made plans to go see the 4th one at midnight November 18, 2011.  Cra-zy!  Haley let me borrow the first book and it is so hard for me to put it down.  It is so much more detailed than the movie. So, this one is for you Haley :o)

Bunco is this weekend.  It's Mardi Gras theme so I made a wreath to give away as a prize.  It's ok...not my favorite...
