Independence Bowl

The Independence Bowl was Monday, 12/27.  I was off that day for my Christmas break so me and Dus decided we would go tailgate with his Ninny and cousins.  We dropped River off at daycare and ran a couple of errands before we headed to the game.  It was so cold out there!  Corky (Dus cousin) had all kinds of food cooking, gumbo, boudin, sausage, pork chops.  Kelly came with Bailey and I really wish we would have brought River.  He would have had a blast running around!  Next year we'll bring him :o)  We only stayed for a few hours.  We knew we didn't want to stay for the game because I did not want to sit in those stands freezing while some teams I don't really know (ARMY & Georgia Tech) were playing.  Now, if it would have been an SEC team, then I would have been there!!

We had a good time.  We left to go pick up River and then went home and ate some more gumbo for supper, and watched the game on TV.  I also took down all of my Christmas and it was so great!  My living room looked 10x bigger once I took everything down.  I can't wait to go to the Indy Bowl next year and maybe stay the night in the camper!  And, hopefully it will be an SEC team playing =)
