Mother's Day Weekend and a sick little boy

I have been home the past two days with River.  He had a little fever Monday nite so I gave him some Tylenol and put him to bed.  He woke up 5:00 a.m. Tuesday morning with fever again, so we stayed home all day.  Poor lil dude was pitiful! He stayed in my arms most of the day (which I loved).  The doc called in some antibiotics for him and Dusty picked them up for me.  Then, he woke up this morning at 1:00 a.m. with another fever so we're home again.  He hasn't had a fever since.  The doc said he will have fever for 24-48 hours after he starts taking the antibiotics.  Hopefully, there will be no more fever!!  We had to get out of the house today because I think we were both going a little stir crazy!  We went to Sonic then made a loop around town.  He enjoyed looking out the window and pointing everything out.

Saturday was the Air Show.  My grandma lives pretty close to the base, so we always go to her house and sit in the backyard and watch the planes fly.  This was River's first year and he loved it!

I had a good Mother's Day!!  Me, Dus and River went to eat lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings (I just love that place!!) down at the boardwalk.  It was early and none of the stores were open yet, so we kind of had the place to our selves.  River got to run around and look at the Red River.

We came home and all three of us crashed!  We napped for about 3 hours...well the boys did.  I just layed on the couch and did absolutely NOTHING!  That was nice :o)

We went over the my in-laws later for a crawfish boil.  I have been craving some crawfish and it was sooo good!  The potatoes were awesome!
River did not want to touch the crawfish.  He stayed well away!

This little boy is so sweet and precious!  Makes me so proud to be his moma!!

Please pray River stays fever free!!  I don't like my baby not feeling good!

P.W.A.T.

I have had NO time to blog lately...ugh!  Busy busy!
Anyhoo, last night, the guys went to Arkansas to "drink beer and waste bullets" for Corey's bachelor party.  It's a place where you can shoot skeet and stay the night and the next morning the place cooks breakfast for you.  It's pretty neat if your guy likes that kinda stuff!  So, since Corey was going to be gone, Haley wanted to go do something fun with the girls.  Four of us went to Painting With A Twist.  It's this neat little place and they give you a canvas and all your paints/brushes, etc, and you paint whatever picture they're painting for the night.  Last night it was a fleur-de-lis with diamonds in the background.  Looked easy peasy, but...um...no, it was not.  I kinda got fed up with it after a while and didn't really care what my painting looked like.  Ha!  Oh yeah, before I forget, you get to drink while you're painting.  That is where the 'twist' comes in!  They serve different beers and wine.  But, you're concentrating on your painting so much, that you actually forget about the drink.  Ha!

The original colors the placed was doing were reds and tans.  I went with green, yellow, brown.  My fleur-de-lis looks like a football and my background looks like the Greenbay Packers!  Ugh.  But, I tried and it was fun hanging out with the girls.  I just don't think I'll ever do it again.  I can be pretty crafty, but painting is totally not my thing!

The canvas they give you.  It's already got the fleur-de-lis drawn on it (thank goodness!!)

See my football!  Haha!  It really was a lot of fun and we had some laughs!

I can't wait till the next GNO!  I love these girls.  And, thanks to my grandma to came to my house last night to keep River for me!  Grandparents are great ;o)
