Snow Day!!!

We got another snow day today!  Whoo hoo!  Daycare closes everytime the public schools close, we I got to stay home with River Bug.  I bundled him up tight this morning and we went outside to check it out.  I think he kinda liked it this time ;o)

Hopefully since we're snowed in, I'll get a lot done around the house today...maybe...we'll see!  I've been saving a bunch of stuff for a garage sale in the spring, but I am so tired of it being in my way and taking up space, I think I'm just going to box it all up and send it to Goodwill.

We were supposed to go eat tonite for a friend's surprise birthday, but that may be canceled tonite.  I hope not, I was really looking forward to going out with friends and eating some yummy Japanese food!

It quit snowing about 30 minutes ago.  It was so pretty coming down.  There were HUGE snowflakes. I want em to come back! 

Bling Bling

First of all...cold cold!!  It is freezing here, in the 20s, and I'm eating an oreo blizzard!! Ha!!  And, I owe Dus $200!  We'll see if he gets it ;o)

Now to the bling part, look at what my very handsome, sweet, caring, loving husband got me for Valentines' Day/5th anniversary...

Isn't that so sweet!  I gave him my ring to take to get cleaned yesterday and he texted me and said it would be a couple of days because it was getting refurbished.  Well, today when I got home from work he threw the ring box at me and said "there ya go".  I opened it and was like "oh, that looks so much better.  Thanks hunny".  He was like "don't you see it".  Me, "see what?"  "It's bigger"  "OMG! It is!!"  Haha.  I didn't even notice it at first...ooops!  But, it is bigger and shinier and prettier, and I love it!  He did this all on his own, I had no idea!  I didn't even ask for it. I was totally happy with the diamonds I had!  I did tell him that for our 5th anniversary I wanted an anniversary band that matches my wedding band, and I told him that I never wanted a new ring set because that ring wasn't blessed at our wedding and cuz I'm superstitious like that, and plus I like the fact that he picked my ring out all by himself!  So, he decided to just get me a new diamond!  Thanks Hun!!

Hoo Are you?

I found this fun little thing on a blog that I found today Scissors and a Whisk who linked up to Night Owl Crafting :o)  I thought it is super cute so I'm gonna play along!

1. Are you married/in a relationship/single? For how long?

I am married to a fantabulous guy, Dusty.  We have been married 4 1/2 years.  We actually went to the same middle school, but didn't really know each other and we were introduced many years later by a mutual friend and have been together ever since!  Dusty is such a great husband and I wouldn't trade him for anything!

2. What do you do for a living? Do you enjoy it?
I am a medical transcriptionist.  I work for a hospital.  One day I would love to work from home!!

3. In what state do you live? Where were you born and raised?
I live in North Louisiana.  This is where I was born and raised.

4. Do you have children? If so, how many? If not, do you want them?
I have one son, River.  He is 21 months old and he is the best thing ever!  I love him so much!

5. Who is your favorite blogger to follow and why?
I follow too many to pick just one!!  I love reading blogs, I'm kinda obsessed!  Ha!

Lovin' Life

Not much went on this weekend, finally! Ha.  Me and River drove all the way to the duck pond Saturday and it was PACKED!!  There was not a single parking space.  I was so mad. We ended up going to Target instead.  I was really looking forward to seeing River feeding the ducks : (  Now I'm sure we'll have to wait at least another month before the weather gets nice again.  Ugh!  I made Mexican cornbread for supper and we just hung out at the house.

 Today, we stayed home all day.  It was nice.  I got a little cleaning done and my typing.  River had spaghettio's for supper tonite and this is how it ended...

These pics were taken a few days ago.  I made him a mohawk.  I gave him another one Saturday, but I didn't get any pics.  The Saturday mohawk was much cuter than this one...this was my first one to ever do.  It's still kinda cute!

Weekend recap

Yes, it's Wednesday and I'm just now getting around to talk about our weekend.  Oops ; )  Saturday me and River went to eat at McCalister's with Wendy.  I love soup in the winter.  It seems like I've eaten at McCalister's every weekend for the past two months!  I always get their potato soup, yummy!  After that, we dropped R off at my grandma's and me and Wendy went to Hobby Lobby (Love.that.store!) and a couple of other places.  When me and R got home that afternoon, I cleaned up a little bit and Haley came over.  We had Twilight date nite!  Ha.  We watched New Moon....again!  I just can't get enough.  I started the New Moon book today.  I am soooo ready to be on the third since I know what happens in the 2nd one already. 

Sunday was such a nice day.  The sun was out and it wasn't too terribly cold.  Me and River had lunch at Mickey D's and then went to the park.  The lil dude had a blast!

After the park, Kasen came home with me so mom could go to the store.  The boys played.  Then Dusty came home and we all went outside and the boys rode 4-wheelers.  No pics, tho : (  We went to Dusty's dad's for some fried fish Sunday nite.  It was delish!

I got my 31 Gifts kit in today!  Fun stuff.  I'm ready to start having some parties :o)  I've started a 31 blog (on the right).  I don't have much on it right now, but I will be posting hostess specials and other fun stuff that is going on.  I've also got a 31 website where you can look at the catalog and order that way.  I will keep you posted!
